Radevormwald, April 20, 2026 – Following an intensive phase of realignment, the long-standing plastics technology site in Radevormwald is sending a clear signal of continuity and innovation. As of April 1, 2026, a seven-member leadership team will take over the business operations of the former Bilora Kunststofftechnik GmbH as part of a Management Buyout (MBO). Moving forward, the company will operate under the name BILORA Innovations GmbH.
Successful Restructuring and Site Consolidation
Since the filing for insolvency in August 2025 and the commencement of proceedings in November, work has been underway at full speed to create a sustainable setup for the future. The core of the restructuring is the consolidation of operational forces: the two previous plants have been merged at the Plant II location (Mermbacher Straße 21). This concentration optimizes processes, shortens communication channels, and significantly increases production efficiency.
A New Beginning with Poignancy and Determination
The path to the future, however, involved difficult decisions. The necessary restructuring required a significant reduction in the workforce.
“It pains us deeply that we had to part ways with valued colleagues during the course of the reorganization,” explains Dr. Joachim Schnieders, representing both the former and new management. “However, this step was unavoidable to save the core of the company and to place the remaining jobs on a stable, long-term foundation.”
Seven Shareholders – One Shared Vision
BILORA Innovations GmbH is backed by a team of experienced executives who know the company from various perspectives and are now jointly assuming responsibility as shareholders:
- Dr. Joachim Schnieders (Managing Director)
- Marcel Naumann (Technical Sales & Head of Quality Assurance; future Authorized Signatory/Prokurist)
- Bettina Urban (Sales)
- Uwe Kaplan (Production Management)
- Klaus Höller (Head of Maintenance)
- Heiko Kloppert (Quality and Maintenance)
- Stefan Kürbi (Purchasing)
This personnel constellation ensures that expertise in all key areas—from production and quality assurance to sales—remains directly in the hands of the owners. Alongside Dr. Joachim Schnieders, Marcel Naumann will play a central role in the strategic direction as the future Authorized Signatory.
Looking Ahead: BILORA Innovations GmbH
The new name reflects the mission. BILORA Innovations GmbH will focus increasingly on innovative solutions in plastics technology, building on decades of experience at the Radevormwald site. By concentrating operations at Plant II, the company is ideally positioned to react flexibly to market requirements and guarantee the highest quality standards.
